"Be as you are and so see who you are and how you are. Let go for a moment or two of what you ought to do and discover what you do. Risk a little if you can. Feel your own feelings. Say your own words. Think your own thoughts. Be your own self. Discover. Let the plan for you grow from within you - F. Perls
I have more than 15 years of experience as a Psychotherapist, working with adults, couples and families with a range of issues. I see clients in Harley St, Marylebone (6-8 minutes walk from Oxford Circus and Bond Street Stations) and in Battersea (8-10 minutes walk from Clapham Junction and Wandsworth Town Station) in London. I also see clients online, via Skype or Facetime, from different countries.
I am fully qualified, registered and insured to practice psychotherapy in the UK. I am a British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy registered member (MBACP), a British Psychological Society member (MBPsS) and a UK Association for Gestalt Practitioners member. I have trained on Gestalt-therapy and Systemic Therapy, but I also use some techniques from different approaches.
Since I graduated in January 2005, I have been seeing clients in different private practices in Rio and London, and online. I volunteered for 1.5 years at the Multi-ethnic Counselling Service (MECS) in the Waterloo Community Centre seeing IAPT/NHS patients. I also worked doing assessments for MECS.
I gained very good experience at the Brazilian Navy, where I used to be military for six years, working as a Psychotherapist seeing Navy personnel and their families. I worked with teenagers and adults, individually and in groups, couples and families with different issues and diagnosis.

Psychotherapy is a treatment fulfilled by a psychotherapist and has the goal of working personal and relational issues, like emotional, behavioural and psychological difficulties.
My goal is to give a non-judgmental, comprehensive and safe environment for my clients, building a trustful therapist-client relationship. I believe that empathy is the most important key for a successful work between client and therapist and I can assert that I have a considerable capacity of putting myself in others shoes and empathising with my clients emotions and life story. Also, I am a warm and supportive therapist.
My purpose as a Psychotherapist is to bring self-awareness to the client of their emotional issues, behaviours and their way of connecting with themselves and the world. My work consists of walking with the patient through the discoveries, experiences and emotions, from the present and past, in the here and now, aiming for self-awareness. With more self-awareness, the client will be also be more self-confident and have more self-acceptance.
Weekly sessions are ideal for a better therapeutic process, so I only see individual clients weekly. I may see couples and families on a fortnight basis. I can't pre-determine the number of sessions of therapy since I believe everyone has their own process and therefore their own time to deal with internal and deep issues.
Psychotherapy can help you in situations as:
Low Self esteem
Abuse and Violent relationships
Difficulties in adapting
"My role as a therapist is to help you to become aware of the here and now, and you thwart any attempt to escape it." F. Perls
